    Pre-Separation Air Filtration System
This time-saving technology boosts the efficiency of the engine’s filter system, doubling the time between air filter cleanings. Air drawn into the engine is first separated via centrifugal force, ejecting the heavier dirt particles before being routed to the air filter. This pre-separation means less dirt to be captured by the air filter, resulting in less frequent cleaning and maintenance.

    Side-Access Chain Tensioner
The side-access chain tensioner makes it much more convenient for the user to adjust the saw chain with a bar wrench as opposed to the typical location of the guide bar adjustment screw.

Toolless fuel and oil caps with retainers
Simply lift the lever and twist the caps to remove or tighten. There‘s no need to use a tool to tighten or loosen.

    Decompression Valve
The decompression valve, also referred to as 'deco' or 'deco valve', vents compression in the cylinder for easier starting. The decompression valve temporarily reduces the compression in the combustion chamber during cranking and helps reduce the effort needed to pull the starter rope. It is opened manually and closes automatically as soon as the engine fires.

MS 441 C-M MAGNUM® is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent power I picked up the 441CM recently after having bought the 362 last year and having a 290FB for a while. I love the 362 and use it now with a smaller bar as it now feels much lighter to the 441. The 441 is awesome to say the least. It is a little on the heavy side, but the extra HP make the weight worth it and helps when bucking trees. We had an old oak fall a few weeks ago in the ice storm and today was the first time breaking it out. 24-30 in Dia and the 441 did not balk at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Saw For the class saw, i love my MS441 RCM. Special ordered in 2013. It is not an 880, i did not expect it to replace mine. Agile, fuel efficiant, good saw.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from very disapointing bought this due to the fact that my 044 finally wore out due to numerous years of firewood cutting, I heat my home with wood been cutting wood for heat since i was around 10 yrs old, anyway i went to my local stihl dealer to replace my 044 the dealer had ms440 from overstock at a great price put money down on ms440 came back 3 weeks later to p/u my saw, walked in dealer and the owner said uh oh turns out he had forgot to tag my saw sold it to a man that bought all the ms440's he had. so he(the dealer) appoligized and said he would give me a good deal on the ms441 c-m so i agreed reluctent about the computer controlled saw took the saw home returned it the next day due to when cutting with this saw about mid cut in 20" to 24" oak there is no power carb is ranging unlike w/044 full throttle will power on thru cut very disappointed took saw back to dealer and purchased stihl ms362 and have'nt regreted dropping to smaller saw this is truly a better saw with same bar 25" if the ms362 will hold up like my 044 did then i'll have no complaints ive run many types of saws even the husky's truly like the ms362 over the ms441 hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect saw for me firewood cutter/ top groundman on treework crew Does everything from limbing trees for the chipper, felling trees up to 4 ft diameter with no problem anything bigger we get the 880 out. This is my go to saw from small twigs to 4ft trees. The climber even took it in the tree one day cuz his climbing saw wouldnt work on taking down a huge oak with a 6ft diameter trunk, he said balance was great. Took those big branches out just as fast as he wanted to cut em. Get a 25 inch bar anything smaller and the saw is way oversized for the bar and chain, as long as you know HOW to run a saw and when to replace bar, chain , and sharpen chain. Saw will pay for itself the first decent size job you get. Just got to get me a stihl climbing saw now and then start working in the tree so I can give a review on it the climber we got is just way faster/ more experienced than me, but I'm only 22 and he's 49 and said to be my age and do/ know what I know I'll get to be the top climber in time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best chainsaw I have ever used I have used several different brands of chainsaws. After buying my MS 441 C-M Magnum I bought another one as a back up.I will never buy any other brand of chainsaw now.I still have one chainsaw that I loan to friends. My Stihl chainsaws are like my dog, John Deere tractor and Porsche, they are not used by anyone but me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One mean machine! I've owned this saw since the spring of 2011, and I wouldn't trade it for the world! The M-Tronic functions perfectly, and the engine always starts in 3 pulls or less, no matter how hot or cold the weather. I bought mine with the 25 inch bar, and yellow chain, and even with the bar burried to length in hardwood, this saw shines!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a piece of junk!!! This saw broke the second time I used it! It couldn't even make it through three trees. And the service to get it repaired has convinced me to never buy another stihl product or purchase anything from this dealer again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome saw! I bought this saw about a month ago and love it! I own a firewood business and cut around 100 cord a year so I need something that would hold up I now have 3 stihl saws and wouldn't use anything else. Another big plus is my dealer that I go to and I think that a big thing when looking for a saw a great dealer to back the product. All in all great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sized beast Bought this for milling and firewood, does well at high altitude, a little cumbersome but I'm not a big guy. Good balance, goes through more fuel than my 362 but this saw will eat a 20-cord pile in under two hours at 10k feet.I occasionally get called to clear trees from the river for rafts, recently butchered a 52" trunk, the saw didn't even flinch with a 32" bar. Full skip chains for 28"+ bars.Saw runs well 80 to -45 degrees, no issues with icing while the company huskie seized up.I own a 25, 28, 362 and 441, honestly, a 362 will get most folks from A to Z, a 441 is a bit faster but still overkill for average joe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this product is awesome I log in the alaskan interior and have used my 441cm,and 362 chainsaws extensively in our harsh climate. They perform flawlessly in all weather conditions and are very fuel effecient..I recomend them to all my logger friends and household users.. I own 9 of these saws including the older pro36 that is still running and pro 260 on my boats

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw I've had this saw for about three months. It runs hard every weekend cutting fire wood and clearing farm land. I run a 32 inch bar and it has plenty of power to turn it. Never liked Stihl always had Husqvarnas but this saw changed my mind. It has more power and is lighter than my Husqvarna 570xp. AWESOME!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME SAW Love this saw, always starts up and handles a long days work of logging, anywheres from brush to slash and felling trees. I run a 20" bar and a 25" bar and handles both very well. I own 3 stihl saws so far and its got to be my favorit so far, cant wait to get my next saw a ms660.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a beast!!! Thanks to hurricane Sandy I purchased this beast to clean up around the property. Own many types and sizes of saws, but this thing is incredible. A little to loud but, the power and torque this monster puts out can litterly suck you into the wood you are cutting!! Super easy to maintain. The magneto/cooling fan actually forces air into the intake/carb. area(super charged!) A little heavy with 25 inch bar, can't wait till my 32 inch bar and chain arrive!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 70cc saw for the pro of the weekend firewood cutter. I bought a stihl ms 441 cm from grand blanc out doors. The guys in the shop are great ti work with and know the products that they are selling with no pressure sales. The saw is great. with the M tronic it is always searching for the best settings while cutting, And its always on the rich side. I used to pull the plug to make sure it wasnt running to lean and it was always a little golden brown. 20 inch bar stihl rsc square filed chain and a 8 pin rim with rakers set to about .35-.40 great for softer woods. 28 inch bar with a stihl rsf chain with a good round filed cutter with .30 on the rakes with a 7 pin rim runs great. Great 70cc saw good torque all over the rpm range. Have to clean the filter only about every 10th tank of stihl hp oil and 93 octane. Sometimes it still doesnt need it. Sips fuel puts more money in your pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable powerful commercial saw I own 3 of these for my tree trimming service this saw is a beast. I have a 2007 a 2010 and a 2011. No problems with any. I use synthetic oil and high octane gas and keep them clean. Minor maintenance and that's it. I recommend this saw to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 months running replaced piston & jug 2 times I have owned this saw for about a year & a half. I also have a 038 av, ms250, ms230, ms170, easy start 180, & a 201 arborist saw. I climb trees for a living, and this 441 mag. is the worst investment i have ever made! I use the same gas can to fill all my saws and the only saw that i have problems with is 441 mag. 2 jugs & 2 pistons cost about $400 dollars each time, once in august and now again in begining of november!still like my styhls but no 441 mag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw, strong and powerful, with extremly low maintenance. I have not had as much time as I would like on this saw, but I am extremely satisfied to date. The M-tronic feature is hands-down the best feature going on the Stihl saw, just wish they offered more saws w/ this option. The filtration is better than on previous saws I have owned or own. This is my go to saw for 80% of my firewood cutting.
