Rated 1 out of 5 by from dosent cut the cake I did most the garden bad by hand .this product is only good for already tilled waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wear steel toed boots I bought this to till a couple of garden areas at the house and wish I had just spent the money for a real tiller. It is a chore to get it to dig into Carolina clay and if you do not pay attention, it will pull out and drive towards your toes real quick. I have learned how to shuffle backwards faster than the cultivator can go. Maybe if I weighed more it would be better, but as a 140lbs, 5'-4" male, I do not recommend it. I love my adjustable scythe and pole saw attachments.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not last 2 minutes I purchased this item to take care of my flower beds and till some dead grass spots to re-plant seed. I also liked the idea of taking up less space in my garage. I bought this today Friday 3/16 with plans to put it to use on Saturday. When I got home I thought boy let's see this thing in action as I was a little excited to put it to use the next day. I literally used it for 2 minutes and it is now non functional. I can only hope ace allows me to return it for a refund as it's too expensive and has already proven to be not worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Costly but effective I'm SO glad I bought this accessory! I'm putting in some raised beds, and conditioning the soil in some bare spots in the yard in prep for seeding with Bermuda grass seed. The mini-cultivator made quick work of breaking up the Georgia clay and mixing in new soil. Running my Kombi 111R on half choke to have constant speed seemed to make the job easier, allowing me to focus on the results, but I don't know if that's a good idea. Even if I have to work the throttle, the mini-cultivator is a huge time and labor saver. Definitely a keeper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I have the largest Kombi Motor. Have more than enough power for the this tool to dig right in. . I use it for cultivating flower beds and breaking up sod and compacted soil.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good attachment tool. I originally purchased this product to dig out around a wide tree stump. Was worried about breaking the gearbox. Held up well in this punishing condition. The narrow head and long drive pole makes tight spaces highly manuverable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I use it when planting in the flower beds. Creates great holes for new plantings and makes great back-fill for around the plants. Big time saver. Would work great in a garden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A heavy hitter in a small package KM 110 R provides the power... It's a beast. But about the BF-KM mini cultivator...I purchased this as a mechanical weed puller, since pulling weeds in a garden takes forever and is just a boring chore. With my "mechanical weed puller" it takes 10-15 minutes, tops. I'm impressed with the housing/shaft design which appears engineered to keep weeds away from the oil seals, and this is a huge benefit in my book, and part of why I invest in a Stihl versus the other guys. Being made here in the USA is a bonus as well. The day I purchased this with the KM110 I went to a friend's place and he had some weeds growing up in rocky soil, and he had me clear that for him. I'm thinking instead of relying on shear pins (you'd need some sort of exposed shaft) the cultivator will bounce up when it hits items it doesn't like. After the rocky, weedy soil was turned, I used it to break down a couple of small square hay bales for mulch there.Since then it's lived an easier life, keeping my garden weed free and mom's garden weed free as well. With an appetite for the occasional tomato cage (seriously this thing will tear them up! So be super careful while operating near anything you don't want cultivated... possibly chicken wire, plant stakes, and feet.), I'm overall super impressed with this, and while cleaning out the weeds that tend to wrap themselves up around the tines, I noted that it was engineered as such to keep the weeds away from the seals (weeds will tear up oil seals amazingly fast) , which don't permit the use of shear pins, but will keep the unit from leaking for a much longer time.As usual, with anything built to last, comes a weight penalty, and of course being a lightweight ground engaging tool, it tends to be difficult to control when it hits a potato sized rock or tree root, but this is typical of mini cultivators in general, so I'm not going to ding Stihl for unavoidable compromises. So long as you're of average strength, you'll get a little workout operating this, but nothing too unreasonable. For the elderly or weaker folks out there, I'd look toward the yard boss (?) with the wheel kit.
