Grass Cutting Blade is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a CONDITIONAL recommendation! The success of your use depends upon what types of grasses/brush you are cutting. I found that the stringy/wiry grasses tend to ball-up between the blade & cutter head, resulting in your having to stop & clear out the mess. Also, this blade cannot be flipped over resulting in your having to spend down-time doing a resharpening. It does perform well in most regular grasses & the limited cutting surfaces keep the operator from over-feeding it into thicker woody material. It is not expensive. However, for overall usage...I recommend the 2, 3, or 4-tooth blade/knife options, mainly because they can be flipped over in the field with another sharp edge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts like a hot knife This blade rocks. Cuts high grass like a hot knife to butter. I cut through saplings up to 2 inches with little effort. Grass is no match for this blade. It's like a lawn mower but with out the bogging or clogging factor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from zzz Great when combined with a FS 130. use 10 " blade with an enlarged hole (1") and no guard. Keep sharp and will make fast work in heavy brush, bamboo at 6' tall. Have you the guts to recommend this highly effective and efficiant combination?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time user of this blade. I bought this blade with attachment for my Kombi System.I used it on the KM130 motor head and really did the job on some overgrown brush that was growing over the property line. He entire job took maybe 15 minutes which would have taken an hour. Even my wife was impressed and happy. And if the wife is happy, life is good!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good overall blade This has been a great overall blade so far. I just got it a few days ago and it is making a huge difference over traditional line. It is the 8 blade model installed on a FS110. I am cutting mainly overgrown grass (about 7 years worth) and mesquite brush and saplings. It lays the grass right down and will get up to 1" saplings in one pass. I have taken on larger saplings (up to 2.5") with either a few bumps, or using it like a saw blade. I have 4 acres of land to cut with it and it is working great so far! The grass I am dealing with is extremely thick and years of accumulated matting and overgrowth. While this blade isn't getting the extremely thick stuff down to earth with ease, it is making it more than manageable for my riding mower.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I guess I am trying to get to much from a blade . I have been using this blade for three years ! It is used on a FS 90 cutting blackberry and old growth salal . It is a real workout . Cuts right thru bushes that are vertical but any angle and it becomes difficult . Don't get me wrong it works fair but that's the best I can do . I guess I need something nobody makes yet .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eight-Tooth Metal Grass Blade - A Really Good Product I've been running the 8-tooth metal grass blade on my FS 90 trimmer/brushcutter for several years now and am extremely satisfied with it. Like posted earlier, it's as effective on woody brush and heavy weeds as it is on heavy grass. It will go right through saplings an inch or a little more like a hot knife through soft butter, or as posted earlier, like a laser beam. If the sapling is a couple inches or larger, it will cut that too, but it will take a two or more "bumps" with the blade, but it WILL cut through it.I have very heavy squaw brush, briars, myriads of saplings, sumac, and heavy weeds all around the perimeter of my yard and this blade on my FS 90 allows me to wreak havoc on them and keep the encroachment at bay.I have cat-tails around my pond and I keep them cut down so we can fish more easily and this blade goes through them like they aren't even there. Also, as posted earlier, this blade is easy to resharpen. A few strokes on each tooth with a flat file and you're better than new.
